Furthermore, a typical source of uncertainty found in many PD projects – uncertainty regarding the duration of individual activities – is incorporated in the combined model to show how it is possible to improve the robustness of recommendations derived from simulation results. It is shown how managers may use this method to narrow down the possible range of their action.
